GeoAmericas 2016, the Americas-uniting geotechnical conference, has announced the addition of Glen Toepfer to its lineup of presenters.
Toepfer, a CQA Solutions principal, will teach one of 13 featured courses. His lecture KEY FACTORS TO OBTAINING HIGH-QUALITY GEOMEMBRANE WELDS, will examine thermal welding methods (fusion and extrusion fillet) and the factors that contribute to obtaining successful seams. His presentation will include common pitfalls for each type of weld, as well as the essential points of effective CQC and CQA for each type of weld.
The conference will be held April 10-13, 2016 in Miami Beach, Florida. In addition to the courses, the event will feature 50 Technical Sessions and four Keynote Lectures.
GeoAmericas 2016, the 3rd Pan-American Regional Conference on Geosynthetics, is hosted by the North American Geosynthetics Society (NAGS). Previous conferences were held in Cancún, Mexico (2008) and Lima, Peru (2012).
Toepfer, a leading industry voice and the author of the blog Uncontained, recently published the breakthrough book, The Complete Field Guide to Ensuring Quality Geosynthetics Installations. He was a featured presenter at PERUMIN 2015, and has also spoken at the Geosynthetics 2015 and Geosynthetics Mining Solutions (2014) conferences.
